Other community groups were roped in with the idea that if they didn't participate in the caucus, they would be left out of the process altogether. This body has exclusive right to nominate candidates for the school board, but can't an argument be made that the community groups on the SBNC provide greater (and therefore unequal) representation of their membership on the SBNC when compared with the average citizen? Unaffiliated citizens are only represented (albeit very indirectly) by the Governor's appointees to the SBNC, whereas a citizen who is, let's say a union member, is represented more than once.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
